In Sisoft sandra it gives an estimated clock speed rating right? Depending on benchmarks etc..
Well say you have an Athlon 1000 ok? And Sisift sandra says , its about equal to a 1100-1200 MHz computer.

Well what about the Pentium 4? What does a 1500 MHz chip comapre to? I am interested in what it says, if AMD's Athon can outperform at a lower lock speed, what does it think the P4 is in terms of MHz?

I'm might be wrong, and I'm not an expert on the subject. but It would seem highly probable that it would be ranked lower than its rated clock speed. Due to its overly weak FPU, and the fact that, in sandra, It only takes a 1.2ghz athalon to compare to it. I would Also assume, that in todays apllications, a P4 probably compares to a petium MMX, clock for clock.

I'll be sure to keep an eye out for any P4 sandra reports though.
