Well since i've upgraded to Windows 2000, ive been having a problem that happens quite frequently actually... like almost every other day. The screen goes blue, like MSDOS blue and it says something about physical memory. like "Dumping Physical Memory to drive: 1" something like that and the number rises once every 3 seconds about. I usually just hit my reset button when this happens because its not a very nice thing to see all of a sudden pop up on you. I'm thinking it may be with drive being NTSF... i converted to that also. Anyone have any ideas?

This page may prove useful:

Analyzing Windows 2000 Memory Dumps

I suggest that you disable the memory dumps unless you intend to send the information to Microsoft, as large dumps can start to take up hard drive space. Instead, carefully document all the information on the page when the blue screen appears, and search the MS Knowledge Base for information about the problem. You can also post the information here, and perhaps one of us can help you determine the source of the BSOD.

The memory dump settings are located in the Control Panel, under System\Advanced\Startup and Recovery\Settings\System failure\Write debugging information.

You will undoubtedly find extra, useful information about the error in the Event Viewer Logs. These can be found in the Control Panel under Administrative Tools. Under Properties for a particular event, you'll find information about the source of an event, the kind of event, and an Event ID number ... the majority of which are searchable at the Knowledge Base, and especially with Google Advanced Search.
