Laptop Video issues, Mobo or something easier to replace?
Feb 24, 2011, 4:23 AM
I've had a Dell M1530 for about 3 years (RIGHT out of warranty, my luck.) when it started having Video issues. The screen becomes pixelated, then begins flickering before becoming unworkable.
Although it seems to occur randomly after some amount of time, it also starts when I begin closing the screen (At about a 60 degree angle.)
I'm debating taking it in. It needs some serious work, the fan doesn't seem to work (Starts up, but stops about 10 seconds after.) but if the Mobo is damaged, there's nothing to do.

Oh, nevermind. Looks like there was an entire class action lawsuit about this problem. Still under warranty.
