Perhaps embedded in a web page with an ActiveX? I was writing one, but
now my computer has been stolen and I no longer have the code with me.
It links to the DJGPP compiler so it can compile both Nethack and the
scenarios from the Explorer. Any news of it, please report them here.

Or if there is another version...

I have been playingh nethack since 1993 (DOS version)
