BTW: Here are some Dual P4 Xeon benchmarks as well (insert drool here) <A HREF="http://accelenation.com/?doc=1&page=1" target="_new">http://accelenation.com/?doc=1&page=1</A><P ID="edit"><FONT SIZE=-1><EM>Edited by JCLW on 05/21/01 05:25 PM.</EM></FONT></P>

While the last link is great news for intel, it's better news for AMD. Notice how the single athlon kicks the 2x 1GHz P3's in almost every benchmark. Also the website says "When not using SMP the Athlon beats even the 1.7GHz Xeon, but when SMP is used the P3 and P4 Xeon shoot right ahead. Just goes to show how much a second CPU can help performance." This indicates that Dual ATHLON should be even better..... Definately a drool

I am the first and only one with a 16MB GeForce2 GTS graphics card!

Never forget XEON is for serving data by internet or if you like server, for a server the 1 thing i must do is be stable.Even dual p4 exon have totaly (peep) the tunderbird by well over 100% (i dont have count).I was just able to see a part of the benchmark my internet rush this time dont know why.Do forget server is not the same the desktop computer or mobile computer, you cannot compare a xeon (server) to a tunderbird (desktop) .

actually, that is a good portion of my argument. the dual Xeon P4 (server)didn't beat a single Tbird(desktop) by much in server applications. also, as far as server vs desktop vs mobile, the server should have the MOST bandwidth and processor power. funny, the Xeon didn't impress me much.
they need Northwood bad.
