Question... Need answers Quick!

I am installing my new a7v as we speak. I was wondering if it was say to use the on board RAID controller or just use my pormise card I already have. I ask this because of the 686 via south bridge bug. I am installing my CD-Rom, and dvd rom on an ultra 66 card to avoid that problem.

I believe the bug affects the PCI bus, which would include both onboard and offboard controllers. So I would try just using the patch with the onboard controller, and hope for the best.

Just 1 quick question. How does your A7V have <b>RAID controller</b>? Mine, also A7V, only has Promise ATA100 controller!
