has anyone ever had a problem like this ,my acer laptop aspire5532,can not accept any type of connection to usb ports , worked fine for a year and now it looks as though the parts have dissapeared ? cant download anything the cables just keep falling out , please help

You may have actually broken the USB ports, which are hard fixed to the motherboard, they probably can't be repaired. In most cases this requires that the motherboard be replaced. This can be rather expensive when dealing with a laptop. This is because, unlike desktop motherboard, laptops have many of their features embedded on the board. Things like the video card, sound card, etc, are soldered to the board and can't be removed. In many cases it is less expensive to replace the entire computer. Also, laptops are much more difficult to work on and take extra time to disassemble and reassemble.

I suggest that you take the machine to a repair shop and have them do a estimate the cost of repair.
