WHOA..... K6-2 CPU 64C critical?

I live in Canada BC and some parts of BC there is the OKANAGAN, dry and hot up in the mountains.
anyways my cousin has a k6-2 500 and i checked his cpu temp the other week and it was a HOT day over 100 outside easy
and i checked his cpu temp and it was 64c and yes the fan was working.

its been running hot like that for over a year

the core is suppose to handle more, but mine gave errors @ 65*C.
you're running the ragged edge.
get a better cooler.

This is where I live, it sucks for overclocking, I had to back down my old k6 too. At 233 it's temps are about 2-5c more than room temp, about 25-30c. If I move it up to 266 it will overheat and error at around 40c or more. I dread the day when summer actually starts here and my room temps will be around 40-50c, though it rarely hits 50c here. Not even my shify 462 will cool my 1ghz axia when it gets that hot out side. Time to sell it and get a water cooling system going.
