Hi, yes windows 7 is installed along with many other programs all in C:\ drive but as soon as i click (highlight) the drive in "my computer" , or try delete a file in pictures, dowloads, on my desktop or anywhere a file is located i just get the message C:\ is not accessible access is denied Location is not available.

I thought this might have something to do with user accounts however I am the only user and administrator of the laptop and have all wrights, box's ticked.

Any help would be great. (what should i look at?) :(

Thanks

Yeah i thought it is user permissions somewhere.

My user account is admin and all boxes are ticked under security but NOT the bottom box "special permissions" which i cannot tick/highlight. Ive tried this under safe mode aswell.

Right click my computer > manage > local users and groups > right click on administrator > permissions > uncheck disable this account.
Log off and then log in to administrator account
This account has full control over the system.

Its not about permissions . its a virus

Press winkey+ R

type cmd press Enter
go to C:/
Type: attrib autorun.inf -s -h Enter
Type: del autorun.inf ENTER
Type: Exit
I hope that works .
if not Update your antivirus And boot in to safe mode and scan your computer.
