That Cyrix chip makes a Celeron look like a P4. I saw some benchmarks a while back when a 667 Mhz Cyrix chip (4.5x133) Got ripped by a 550 Celly. 5.5x100. It got whooped by a pathetic chip with a lower bus speed. That is just pathetic.

Do yourself a favor and buy a Duron with your $50.

Blah, Blah Blahh, Blahh, blahh blah blahh, blah blah.

No you wont be able to install that chip in a dual proc board. It is a Value chip primarily aimed at budget pc's and cheap notebooks. It's power consumption is very low. That is the only compliment I could give the Cyrix.

Here is the benchmark I spoke of.

It's easy to make a chip run cool if you use fewer transistors or prevent some of the ones there from functioning! Intel or even AMD could make their chips run that cool if they made them perform that badly!

seriously, consider this

c3 is slow per MHz
p3 is avg. per MHz
A4 is fast per MHz
mac is fast per MHz

where does this leave the P4???
slow, hot, and only works half the time! sounds like ME at work.......

however, we all start at the end and finish at the begining
