Heating issue's a hot topic, I have a question

My Tbird 1.2's temperature hovers around 55 - 60 Celsius even when idling, when I just turn it on, it's at 43 Celsius, but doesn't stay there long. Is it safe to just continue with this kind of heat? If not, what should I look at before getting a new fan? Any software/hardware issues to approach?
Thanks for any input.

Get a good HSF and a seperate Temp Probe you may well find the temp is incorrect anyway, but even if is not you are high on temp but if it is working ok don't panic too much ....

if at first you don't succeed , destroy all evidence that you ever tried...
