I'm running XP and have Office XP. How can I remove my Office 97 to do a clean install? The dialog box says to insert the 97 disc, but I no longer have the disk.

I've not actually got Office XP or 97, but most Microsoft installs put up some message like 'Searching for previously installed components' - maybe the Office XP installer will be able to prise the Office 97 files off your PC for you?
Alternatively, you might be able to have both OfficeXP and Office97 both installed at the same time, in different directories. If they can co-exist happily, then I suppose it wouldn't really matter if Office97 was still there, unless you are desparate for the HD space.

Watch out for this one...(dunno if it applies to you).

My version of office XP doesn't have Powerpoint. My 97 version does, so I need both (up to a point).
