The power supply does not have anything to do with your CPU temperature. Using a 235W power supply will NOT make your Athlon run any cooler or hotter than with any other power supply.
53 degrees celcius is a bit hot. You might want to get a better cooler, or at least make sure that the one you have is mounted properly with thermal paste.
Did you by any chance strike the Caps Lock key by accident?
