More slashem questions

A couple more slashem questions, this from the lawful quest.

1. I found a couple of weapons like the flyswatter named bugsmasher and
another similar weapon, I take it these arent artifacts but just plain
weapons (if you want to call a fly swatter a weapon) that have been
named?

2. Also, I found a Giant Flea corpse in the level, so tried to
sacrifice it, and got a "so this is how you repay loyalty? You feel
<god> is displeased".
Im pretty sure he was never a pet. I then realised that I still had it
in my inventory ,so I tried sacrificing it again, and got the same
message. Is there something special about giant fleas in slashem??

Thanks,

Marky Mark

(expect more slashem q's to come)

1. Bugsmasher is cursed -3 flyswatter. Storm Brand and Chaosbane are
also cursed -foo. Lawful quest has lotsa false items in general, like
cursed amulet of atrangulation named life saving. Be careful and dont
trust it.

2. This giant flea probably came from egg you've been carrying and
became your pet. It then got killed by some monster and you tried to
sacrifice it.

Remember: Lawful Quest is most misleading level of the game.

Oh, of course, it makes sense now... thanks,

Yet another question, still on that same level, as there is a alter
with a co-aligned priest, I thought Id chat with him/her for the sake
of it so I would get '2 bits for an ale', but instead I got a respons
like "I no longer feel like talking to you" and got attacked!

This is another misleading part of the quest I take it, and normal
priests wouldnt do that?

Also, will my god get angry if I kill the crazy priest?

Thanks,

He is angered because priests dont like not having temples (altar room
in lawful quest isnt considered temple - another misleading thing).

And your god WILL get VERY angry - he's his priest.

I recommend scroll of taming or spell of charm monster.

Ok, tired a spell of charm monster, it failed, the priest paralised and
then killed me, all this whilst my monaic diva of <god> was nearby
watching, but wouldnt help me... Anoying end to my first monk, which
was very promising, but it seems they are a fairly easy class.

Another question now, Im playing a chaotic orcish barbarian now, Ive
just killed and eaten a goblin, and gotten a "You feel evil and
fiendish" message, first time Ive ever had that. Is this just a slashem
thing? And is it because goblins are seen to be the same race as orcs
(because they are both 'o'... though that would make mind flayers,
bugbears, and dwarves all the same race), and that is a chaotic act?
And does it have any effect (ie alignment boost?)

In short, whats with that message??

Thanks,

Marky Mark

Sounds like cannicalism message indeed, but I thought orcs were exempt
from its penalties.

Hypocoristiquement,

It is a 'good' cannibalism message.
