i have a samsung hm160hi 160gb when i want to install
I boot from CD
load the windows 7 setup...

Deleted the old partition ( I also tried formatting... same error prevented the format)
Then I created a new partition.

"NeXT"

Windows starts installation with "copying new files 0%" and then it says :"Windows could not format partition on disk 0.
The error occurred while preparing the partition selected for installation. Error code 0x80070057"
i have a dell inspiron 1521. waiting for your reply.pls help me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you using Windows 7 Upgrade package... or Windows 7 full retail package?
Windows 7 Upgrade license wants to "see" an installed and activated copy of Windows XP or Windows Vista before installation is allowed.

Your problem might be solved by re-installing Vista first and then trying Win 7 install again.
