I have an ASUS a7V266-e motherboard with the High Point RAID chip and 2 40 gig HD's. One is ATA 133 and the other is ATA 100. I have read some FAQ's about installing RAID and they say that I can use the different drives so I tried it. I set the RAID array up like my manual told me to and the BIOS recognized the array, but when I tried to install Windows XP it told me that it could not find the drives. I have hit F6 to install raid drivers but the drivers that I got from ASUS were on a CD. I booted my other puter and made a 3.5 disk with the drivers that were on the CD. Then when I tried to use them the Windows install said that it had an error. I should have written down the error but I needed the puter so I installed the OS on a single drive drive. If anyone has any answers I would appreciate it.
