I just put together a new rig and it won't post. when i turn the power on the speaker beeps at me and continues until i shut off. also i can power on from the front button but can only power off from the switch on the back of the power supply. Does it matter which way i put the 'power sw', hd led etc. connectors into the pins. for example it says pin 11 Anode pin 12 Cathode. which is which. there is a little arrow on one side of the connector. is this the Anode side?

System components:

ATX Case & PS
iwill kk266
duron 750
geforce2 mx (leadtek)
adaptec 2940 scsi
yamaha 16 10 40 cdrw
40gb ibm gxb (p?)

please help.

for the Power switch or reset button it doesnt matetr which way u put them on.
It's beepign most liekly because your RAM or Video card isn't inserted ALL the way into thier sockets....and if thats not it than your Ram is set to PC-133 by jumpers but it wont work at those specs. or ur jumper foor the Multiplier is wrong and u penciled in the L1 bridges.

Repeating beeps is most likely the RAM not seated properly.
But could also be as MeTaLrOcKeR said.
