I am on a budget of about $130. I am looking for the best possible 1080p monitor i can buy. Please leave comment and links. Thanks.
The ASUS VE228H, which offers similar specifications but measures up to being a 21.5-inch LED-backlit display. Here are a few words on the ASUS VE228H LCD monitor after using it for a few weeks.
- 21.5-inch panel size
- 1920 x 1080 true resolution
- 0.248mm pixel pitch
- 250 cd/m2 maximum brightness
- 170 (H) / 160 (V) degrees viewing angle
- 5ms response time
- ASUS Splendid Video Intelligence Technology
- HDCP Support
- 2 x 1W RMS stereo speakers
- HDMI, DVI-D, VGA D-Sub inputs
While the ASUS VE228H does not really have any technical advantages to set it apart from all of the other LCD displays on the market, its price at around $130 -140 USD really is not bad. There aren't too many displays you can find for $130-$140 USD or less that are sized 21-inches or greater with a 1920 x 1080 resolution, come from a major and well-respected hardware vendor, utilize an LED-backlight panel, and offer HDMI video input. The ASUS VE228H manages to successfully fill this area. If you're after a low-cost LCD monitor you can find the ASUS VE228H at Amazon and NewEgg.
The VE228H monitor was well packaged just like any ASUS product i have tested. The LED-backlit monitor was encased between two large Styrofoam molds. Included with the 21.5-inch monitor was the detachable stand, ASUS user's manual, audio cable, DVI-D cable, VGA D-Sub cable, and a US power cable. About the only other thing you may need for the monitor is an HDMI cable, which monitor manufacturers tend to not include at this point. This monitor is backed by ASUS with a three-year warranty.Dell ST2220L 21.5" Widescreen Flat Panel LED Monitor: Excellent contrast, bright screen, touch controls, and NO dead pixels. Best deal anywhere. $139.99. Even at the current price, this monitor is STILL very affordable.
