Samsung SA550 Monitor Adjustment

How can I change the maximum resolution in the control panel"change resolution" dropdown from 1280x1040 TO 1920x1080 it only goes up to 1280x1024

I would assume its a cheap monitor and wont do that resolution....

What are its specs and size ?

Do you have the proper video drivers installed? When you goto device manager, what does for display adapter?

The monitor is a Samsung SA550, says so in the title and it's a LED 1080p monitor, so the monitor isn't the issue.

Hi :) 

I KNOW what it says in the title...I also know there are various models of SA550s...going up to a 27 incher, they all have different resolutions...

as mentioned are the graphics drivers installed?

and are you actually using a graphics card/onboard graphics that supports higher than 1280x1024
