Printer Issues

I am having issues with my lexmark X6170 Printer, I am having issues Installing the printer I have tried downloading and installing the vista Drivers they still do not work, the only option I have left is to try a windows reinstall. Does anyone have any Answers to solving this??

Where did you get the driver from? This is the Lexmark website...

I'm assuming that Windows Update does not have the drivers either? Have you tried to install the Vista drivers through compatibility mode?
Also, have you verfied with the Microsoft Windows Compatibility Center that the pritner is indeed compatible with Windows 7? The Microsoft Windows 7 Compatibility Center is located at the following link: http://bit.ly/1gW6Ns and can be used for both hardware and software concerns.
