Pro Tools 10

[Music 1999]

Good Morning:

I purchased the Pro Tools 10 Academic Version and loaded it on my HP desktop. All of the drivers loaded well. I launched the program. It started initalizing and then it stopped and gave an Error message that said "Unable to locate hardware. Make sure your hardware is connecte and turned on. Click OK when the hardware is ready".
I uninstalled the software and reinstalled the software with no luck.

Please Provide Input If Available.

Coming from the position of knowing nothing about it, might I suggest it's expecting to see a midi keyboard device or possibly even just a microphone?
