I've read on toms site that the max idea heat is 80 degrees celesius .. perhaps the chip can handle up 90-95 like the other guy said... maybe it's just that you will start having problems 80 and up maybe? ... what will happen is that it'll skip and get really slow and then lock up... it happend to me thats why i know.. my duron got really hot... the mobo said 50 degrees c before this happend. but it had to have been hotter.... i touched the heat sink and burnt my finger so ... also after this my computer wouldn't post at all... i could have swore my cpu died .. i tried my dads athlon and it worked so i figured ya it's dead.. i try mine again and it worked... really weird.. must have gottin loose... keep in mine this was an all day thing after it wouldn't post of applying logic and trouble shooting of what could be the problem... thank god i'm a Computer Specialist otherwise i'd be screwed lol!
for me it was between 50- 60 so ya 60 sounds more realistic then 80 or 90 i guess... the 80 degrees celsius point might be for older cpus as i read that a long time ago...
