Windows can not Start up

Hi, Problem with startup, ran startup repair and got the following details
repair action...system restore result failed error code ox1f
repair action...system files integrity check and repair
result failed error code ox490
Had startup prob before this one and reinstalled w7 and all ok then shutdown overnight and tried restart and back to the start of my post, any ideas appreciated

Run a hard drive test in DOS...HIRENS CD etc, it sounds like a failing hard drive...
