Asus Monitor Issues

I just built my first budget gaming pc this weekend, you can see my parts below. I am having issues with my monitor though. If I use HDMI, it will turn black every so often for about 2 seconds then come back on. On DVI it is fine. However, in the last two days while using DVI, my screen has shown a few lines then turns completely white, and the only way to fix it is to reboot the computer. This has happened three times, all while using Firefox (twice while on Facebook and once on YouTube). I have had the thing turned on for a few hours at a time idle and playing FarCry 3 with no issues. The DVI cable is the one that came with the monitor, the HDMI cable is one of my own. Any ideas on either issue?

How long have you had this monitor ? If it's new like the rest of your build then send it back , you have 30 days , and get another. It's a lot easier to return an item in the first 30 days then to go through the warranty later on.

Ya it's brand new, I was hoping to avoid that but it was and is an option. I am still trying to determine if it could be anything else.

Are you saying that all your issues are happening wjile only on Firefox ?
If so then have you upgraded to the latest version and do you have the latest versions of Adobe flash and Java installed?
