LCD monitor vs LED monitor

In Apple monitors, are they all LED? If not, what's the difference? Is the matte screen still available, if not, when was it last offered? Is a matte surface better for image -photo & graphic - manipulation and color accuracy?

Well they call it the Apple Cinnema Display but it's actually a led backlit display. There are not any led displays out there yet but I'm sure that they are coming , it's only a matter of time.
What ever Apple uses for thier surface you can be sure it's the best for photos and image , because Apple is known for photo display and working with Graphic design.
