P2B ,intel 440BX chipset... old and crappy but the slower
P3s work (up to 600 i´ve read) ,but how about 850 or 1000 mhz..
I would be very thankfull if somebody knows about this.

Don't bash the BX chipset. Right now it is still the fastest at 133 fsb and above but has the overclocked AGP bus. Most better Geforce2s and some TNT2s can handle this.
It depends on what revision of board you have.Under the name on the board it has 1.?? .
Post this with your other system specifications (ram speed,type,video.etc..and someone will advise you farther.

I aint signing nothing!!!

All the "E" processors work, including the 850. The 1000 is available as both an E and EB (7.5x133 and 10x100). The 1000E is a special purpose low prodution unit and cost a lot. I would recommend the 850, if you want higher, you can up the bus speed to 112 to get 952Mhz.

If you have an older BIOS revision you will want to update BEFORE the upgrade.

I recommend the FC-PGA processor with an Abit Slotket III (available at googlegear.com), and an Evercool ND-8 cooler (available at nexfan.com).
