Hey everyone,

I know from the title the '5ms vs 2ms' seems like I'm just flat out stupid, but let me explain what I mean. I'm looking at a Dell 13" 1920 x 1080 monitor that has 5ms response time and an Asus 13" 1920 x 1080 that has 2ms response time. My problem is that I bought the Dell on black friday, and Best Buy managed to falsely advertise the monitor having an HDMI input, which it doesn't.

So, my question is is it worth it to exchange the Dell monitor and spend even more money (around $170 in total) for the HDMI input and 2ms response time?

Thanks everyone.

The DVI port and the HDMI port are exactly the same except for sound , the HDMI will carry sound along with video to the monitor , so if the monitor has speakers that you want to use then you need the HDMI , if the monitor does not have speakers then either DVI or HDMI will do. Since the Dell does not have a HDMI port then it doesn't have speakers.
The respnse time is measured in milli-seconds and you can't notice the difference between 5ms and 2ms.

No it's not worth the extra money.
