Laptop for Electrical Engineering Major

Hello. I will be attending the University of Akron this fall for electrical engineering. I need to get a laptop for college but I am unsure of what kind I would need for my major. I would assume I would need a powerful processor and lots of RAM, but would I really need a powerful graphics card for electrical engineering? As a note I would like to do some moderate gaming outside of class. Thanks in advance for any help. I do not care what brand it is as long as its not a Mac.

Have a look at Sager NP8130

  4. The one question not answered in this survey is how long can you afford to not have your laptop if it has to be repaired?

Sager offers a 3 day each way shipping option, plus the time for repair. You could be out of your laptop for 2 weeks. IF thats ok, then its a good buy. If you cant live with that then find a brand that offers onsite repair with those features.

    Good luck in school..
