Hello,

I have an old device that connects directly to a LPT1 printer (non-USB). Inorder to save the data from this device, I must print the data onto paper then I have to scan the paper inorder to save it as a pdf on a computer using adobe acobat.

What I want to know is if there is a way to bypast the printer and connect the device directly to a computer and when the device prints, the computer acts as a virtual printer and saves the document as pdf file.

Is there anything I need to buy? what program do I need to get? I have a new box with running win7 however i do have an older box which runs winxp if needed.
