Hi,

I downloaded the newest firmware update software from
Microsoft web site at
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/broadbandnetworking/10_D
LoadMain.mspx

Anyway, when I run MSBNDownload.exe, it tells me that it
is ready to update both the boot and runtime firmware for
MN-700. So I click "Next," but after awhile, I keep
getting the following error message..

"Unable to update yoru base station firmware. Mkae sure
your computer is connected to one of the numbered ports
on the base station and not to the modem port."

My current boot and runtime firmware on that MN-700 is
02.00.08.0333, and I am hoping to upgrade the firmware to
2.1.2.590

The computer that I am using to update the router is
connected to MN-700 directly (to one of the numbered
ports). It is running Windows Xp SP2 with only Windows
Firewall enabled. It does not have any Antivirus running
at this moment.

Any help please!

I have got the same problem with you. And I also
uninstalled the Norton antivirus program. I use the same
OS like you.

How can I do?
