One of my best friends is getting married soon and he and we are having a bachelor party this weekend for him and going to the beach & hiking.
I needed some help for a gift idea though... I've never done one of these before... anyone have ideas for a good gift(s)? Is $100 a big enough budget?
Also, does anyone have ideas for some fun creative stuff we could do for that night/morning?
* also the bach-party is this weekend (fri night) so any help ASAP would be... awesome!! *
Thanks all!

Invite Wingding. You'll all be... "entertained".

Get some round trip tickets to vegas leaving the afternoon the day the bachelor party starts, and coming back in the morning the day after. Don't get a hotel. Just fly in, drink, gamble, smoke, screw like mad, then fly out.
If you're mean, you can also get him hammered until he passes out, then put him on a bus to Tempe Arizona in his underwear and leave without him.

well, the meant $100 is for the gift. I think our budget is higher now, maybe $300.... But yeah, its a Christian bachelor party... the groom is going to be a pastor... so CLEAN fun ideas, ya know? And serious ideas?

Oh a religious bachelor party? That's right up my alley.
How about a bible reading session in .... a hot tub, with a bunch of choir boys?
If that's too much, how 'bout a sandwich making party?
Ok, I give up.
Are pastors even allowed to get married? Isn't that a sin?
Stick to Vegas. That's where the fun is at. You can choose your vices as necessary.

That would be some party. Hey, maybe we could be available for hire, guaranteed to liven up any suitably boring Christian bachelor party. Wingding alone would make them all repent. RC would just sit by the keg all night.

We'd never get a refill with RC about. He'd have that keg empty before we'd taken the top off our first one.
Throw Tomsmart into that convo and we'd have a three-way drunken keyboard-fest. It would be damn funny to watch/listen.

Mate, I dont know how serious to be with this but here goes: I understand in the US that there is/was a Christian men's movement by the name of Promise Keepers. I understand this movement to be a banding together of Christian men who congregate, pray, spend quality time together etc.
A membership to this group or something similar might be the go. Or, how about tickets to his favourite sport or hobby.
Now if it was me organising this shindig I would purchase enough grog to get everyone surely slaughtered; hire a few of the best lingerie models in your town - not for him but for you and the boys who organised it and whom will be right royally deserving of a pork session at the end of the night; plenty of good seafood and a music box capable of playing your fav tunes at a level that the local fauna and Brown Bears will find more than annoying.
Whichever way, have a blast man and take a vid camera to enjoy the moment.

There is no point in getting married unless you go to Vegas and get married by Elvis.
BomberBill - thanks for the one serious idea
Dhuckle - I literraly laughed out loud "bible reading session in a hot tub with choir boys."
He's going to be a PASTOR, not a PRIEST... I think the funniest part is the misconceptions of what Christians do lol... to me its a lot more fun to go out to pizza, hang out on the beach, play paintball, maybe play some poker or other random games, go hiking, and just sit around and talk together.
That said, I don't think its so bad to ask about a Christian Bachelor party here, actually I thought I'd get some of the best answers from this forum... because the "hooligan sportbike forums" actually had a lot of good ideas, so I thought I'd ask here... oh well!
Thanks anyways!

Danny, the boys, particularly DH, are enjoying some light-hearted humour at your expense. Its nothing personal:- that's a key lesson here. The other's relaxed approach matched with most of the guys ability to pull out some great gag sessions means that some good laughs are guaranteed. You just have to roll with the punches, as they say, or be prepared to be burned!
Now I know it might seem a trifle unfair, but mate its all good in the end [I've copped pastings aplenty] and its all good fun.
Its the nature of your request that is a touch surprising: A Christian bachelor party in a forum that is often dominated by boozing and womanising commentaries... but you were not to know that so dont sweat it.
I fully respect what you are trying to organise - although my idea of a B-Party is very different - so be happy and enjoy the night with your mates.

What's with my balls today? Were they on the front page of the paper or something? I know they're nice and all, but my balls are starting to get shy. They don't like the media attention, the spotlight, the fan mail, or the persistant PM's.

Mate, I caught up with that lady-friend of your's [see 'its so damn hot' re-post.
She told me all about the sordid tale: you wined and dined her; sweet talked her silly; dropped your pants in oppresive, balmy conditions; asked for the 'DH special' and then proceeded to thank her with a once in a lifetime Eye shot that left her half-blind, not to mention questioning her 'technique'.
D, you've left a young woman crushed. How could you? She might drop right out of the game, never to return to the realm of oral magnificence!!!

no its totally cool, I think its hard to tell emotion online, I'm not bothered at all, like I said I laughed out loud at a handful of the comments. No worries and indeed, it's all good.
Yeah, I don't know much about the 'other' forum - actually I've never been in here except to post my thread and haven't read anything else.
Everythings straightened out, we're going down to the beach, going to a good local pizza place and hanging out, then a bonfire on the beach and chillin, we got a beachhouse from someone at church we're staying in so we'll head over there and have a texas hold'em tournament where we'll "tithe" 10% of every winning hand to the groom, then some airsoft, halo xbox... maybe sleep... Saturday we're doing surfing and then just hanging out on the beach, playing football and what not. It should be a good time...

See, there you go, that's the spirit! You know something, I think its tremendous you guys are organised for a fun, clean, friendship filled weekend. At the risk of sounding a touch off colour, I envy you the booze-free festivities you have planned. It actually brings back fond memories of my teens when I lived like a Spartan; never drank; exercised hard twice a day and enjoyed life as naturally as possible.
Not to come off as an over-boozing wanka, but I must admit that it has been a long time since I've gotten together with mates and NOT drank.
In fact, the last time was when I played Tennis with a mate in 02... no hang on - we shared a few pints after the match.
At any rate, I hope you and the guys have a cracker!

I feel yah! My friends and I use to play tennis at least 3 times a week last summer. Even if we drank and partyed when it was dark we use to do much more sport.
Now everyone has a serious summer job(we're all 20-23).
So after the job everyone doesnt feel like doing sports and we just end up partying! Thats a shame, we have to kick are ass and move a bit hehe.
