Since I've resolved my problems with Win2k and the well known VIA chipset :) I decided to overclock my lil 1.2 GHz AXIA.

First try, 10 x 133 = 1.33GHz. Perfectly stable under Prime95 and 3DMark 2001. Full load temp of 56C

Second try, 10,5 x 133 = 1.4GHz. Crashed instantly under Prime95 but can easily run 3DMark 2001, CPU Stability Test or SETI@home for hours without reaching 60C

First Q: Should I leave my system to 1.4GHz or get it back to 1.33GHz ?

Second Q: Does crashing under Prime95 means something ?

Third Q: Anybody knows CPU Stability Test ?

Fourth Q: Can I rely on it ?

BTW, my PSU is rated 14 amps on the 3.3V line and 18 amps on the 5V line, can it be the cause of my problem. I personnally think so.

Thanks for any answers

Yup, I want to try it but my cooler sucks so bad that I'll have to wait this fall (can't get a cooler here). BTW, my PSU also sucks :) Crappy retailer didn't give me what I was asking for (cooler, PSU and monitor were different from the one I had chose). If you live in Québec, NEVER buy there, they simply suck

sounds like my overclocking i did last week.
and yes, to go to 1.4 you willprobably need a better cooler and maybe a better powersupply.
my 1200C can almost reach 1400, but around that point i have to jump from 1.80V to 1.85V... and that i think takes too much power for my 300W supply.
*shrug*
im happy with 9.0x150=1350 @ 1.80V though.
rock stable at everything i can thow at it.

P.S.
oh yeah, almost forgot... try overclocking your system bus, you will see much more performance benefit from a higher system bus, especially in memory hungry bandwidth apps. gotta have decent ram & PCI devices though.

Your P/S is weak at 18a on the 5V line. Get a 350w P/S if you really want to operate at 1.4ghz and beyond.
