Overclocking Slot 1 Athlon

To oc the athlon slot cpus you'll hafta get a Gold Finger device. They run around $40. Just do a search for gold finger and u should pull up a ton of stuff.

I had a classic 500 which I clocked to 700Mhz about 12 months ago.
Don't have it anymore but I know it is still going fine.
After removing the cover/clamps ( bit tricky ) it was revealed to be a 650Mhz CPU ( markings on the chip itself )
so by moving 3 surface mount resistors I clocked it to 700Mhz. The procedure to do this is found at THG.
This does require some skill with a soldering iron and tools.

Athlon processors are slot a, and socket a
:-D
can't go around saying stuff wrong you might wake up the crazy intel users.
