How good is Intel Processor Frequency Identity Utility. I purchased a notebook with a 800 mhz mobile but three different utilities list the acual speed as 796 mhz (Sandra), 795 mhz (Showmhz) and 796.1 (Cpu-z). The only program that shows that the actually speed is Intel's. Are the other programs not as accurate or is Intel's not as accurate. I kind of assume that Intel's isn't that accurate since the other three programs are different but I don't have enought expertise to genuiely make that assessment. Hopefully, someone here does. Thanks

They all are! You have an 800MHz processor, but since it's running on a 99.5MHz bus, it's running slower than 800. This is a common issue with all motherboards-none run at a try clock speed, do to the frequency of the crystal being approximate.

552.1 for a 550... same problem, though its going the other way...

you do not strengthen the weak by weakening the strong
