Why my internet explorer is not connected with internet

My computer is connected with internet and firefox is working fine but when i try to open internet explorer its keep saying page not found. it is not connected to the internet . i think sth wrong with the setting..
can anybdy help please???

Sometimes you have to make Internet Explorer your default browser (Start/ Default Programmes) for it to work.

He's right. IE won't work if you don't keep it as the default browser. Call it Attitude

I use FireFox as my default and can open IE with no problems. I use it only to go to MS update sites as FF is not accepted. XP Pro is my OS. Sounds like a Win7 feature
