I'm trying to rip a DVD, and i just can't do it. i've tried many programs and i cant get any of them to work.

any suggestions? what prgrams to use?

Thanks but im not lookig to copy DVDs, im looking to ripping a DVD onto my harddrive for editing purposes. Ie, i watn the DVD ripped onto my HD into an mpeg or avi format.

Capture it, instead of ripping it???

That's how I'd try to approach it.....

google dvd shrink

you can choose where to save it.


ie: hard drive or another dvd.

okay... so i have the DVD ripped now, but i still need to convert them to something that's editable....

then, i need to figure out how to turn it back into DVD format lol... i fricken hate this..

Try magic dvd ripper or google for dvd ripper. I found some nice utils one time, and end up using magic for the work I had to do

once the file is converted to an mpeg, just use a program like windvd creator and make a new dvd. this program is usually given with the purchase of a dvd burner. or, you may have something else that will do the job too. I use roxio DVD builder.

I use dvd decrypter myself.

no seriously, i've been real busy with the girlfriend and work and stuff. just haven't been online much at all lately.

but anyway. I need the movie in .mpeg or .avi or something so i can edit it in adobe premiere. premiere wont open .vcd's and things like that.
