My friend is going to buy a new system, and the sale person gave him a price quote which states something like "PIII 1GB Personal Base PC/SHO Workstation." I know what is PIII, but what is the meaning of SHO Workstation?

Never hear SHO mentioned in the Computer industry, but Ford Motor Company has a trademark for SHO meaning "Super High Output".

I think you mean SOHO not SHO workstation. I think SOHO stands for Small Office / Home Office, but could be mistaken. Antec makes a SOHO server, the 1030.

It was a marketing scheme Intel tried in order to get more gay people to buy their chips (because everyone knows real men don’t run Intel) Intel out side some homo outside (SHO= some homo outside). It didn’t work well so the hired the blue man group instead.

get a DDR/athlon system instead. same price, more performance, higher Mhz.
just make sure its a athlon 'C'.
