Cracked Laptop LCD

I know there are a couple of topics on this, but I have a different situation. I have an M17x R3 and the lower part of the screen has a small crack on it (not like a spider web, more lik a wide X). BUT, the good news is, the pixels themselves are fine. I dont like flaws and it could weaken screen overall, so I want some advice. I read somewhere that car windows can be fixed by spraying some material into crack and wiping off residue for $5, but this is an LCD and that is a car window.

Yes, you can try using a windshield crack repair kit. HOWEVER, just put a drop of the liquid at one end of the crack and let it be drawn in, then carefully wipe off the excess before setting your laptop in direct sunlight to cure.
