Mylaptop doesnt recognize the usb for my mouse

I alredy did. There is nothing wrong with the mice. The problem is solved.
Incidentally, it actually fixed itself. All I did was disconnect all the wires from the laptop. Then, in fact, I turned it off and put it on the couch and went out. When I came back, I reconnected the portable dirve, speakers, mouse, etc. and finally I turned on the computer. This time the computer found the mouse.

However, my computer still cannot find my camera. The above fix did not work for my Canon digital camera. The computer does not see it. I had to download my pictures to a friend's computer, then load them to a SUN DISK minidrive, and plug that drive to one of the USB ports in my computer. Then I was able to download the pictures into my computer.

So now, my problem is, Why doesn't my computer find my Canon camera????

You DID install the Canon software and then turn ON the camera ?
