i connected my laptop to monitor through hdmi but the problem is

i connected my laptop to monitor through hdmi but the problem is that when i open photoshop on monitor the white page layout is missing . then i dissconnect the hdmi white page layout is started running on my laptop monitor. once i check with other hdmi problem it still running . is this eny resolution problem... dont know what to do ... lot more work is pending

How are you using the external monitor? Is it mirrored, or extended?
