Everyone knows that carrots help you see in the dark! Shouldn't this be
the case in Nethack?

I propose that eating a carrot will result in a intrinsic light source
with the same radius as a magic lamp, that applies only to the player
and lasts for 200 - 300 turns (this can be changed as is seen fit.)

A cursed carrot would have the same effect as a cursed scroll of light,
and last for the same time period.

Carrots already help those who are suffering from poor eyesight.

So have carrots confer infravision for a period.
