Trying again..800 TB OC prob

I don't understand why I don't get any replies to this question. Surly, it not a difficult question. I'm not asking for a long drawn out technical response. Just a simple answer is fine.
Your advice is valued and very appreciated.

I have an A7V with a 800 T-Bird OCd to 1030Mhz. 10x 1.904v 103...........256MB PC133 CL3
I'm in jumper mode. I've been told I should be able to go 107 but, when I flip the dip to run 105 I get a message at boot up that says something like....Windows protection bla bla you must restart your computer. If I restart I get the same msg. When I go back down to 103 fsb it boots up and runs well.
Why do I get this msg.? Is there a way around this? Should I work around it if there is a way to do so?
Have I pushed the 800 to the max? I think I've heard of the 800 running at 1050 and even1070. I'd appreciate feed back and advice.

yep. looks like you have reached your limit.
someone said you should be able to get to 107 huh?
well word of advice. overclocking limits are different for everyone.
all depends on what you get, quality and running temp of your chipset, associated pci/agp devices etc etc etc.
errors such as those are indicitave of your fsb being too high and cauzing instability.
with my 1200C i get ntoskrnl.exe (win2k) errors if i go above the system bus speed of 154.

extra northbridge cooling may help. as might more case cooling. then again, it may not.

be happy with your +200Mhz overclock.
actually... i just have a question/idea.
your pc133 cas3 ram... do you have that running asyncronously at 133 or 100?
if its set to 133 then you overclock you could be pushing it too far beyond 133.
try setting it to 100mhz. if it works then you need better ram (cas2) to run at 133.

>>yep. looks like you have reached your limit.<<

Thanks for the feed back. I thought that may be the problem because I can go back to default multiplier 8x, put it in jumper free and raise the fsb to 109? and It runs with the higher fsb stable but, a good bit slower.
Just wanted to check with others on this.
Thanks again.
One more thing....what do you think of this core voltage of 1.9v. I thought the A7V would only go to 1.85 but mine goes to 1.9. I'm not complaining about it, I'm just not sure if it's OK with the 800TB. I running cool and stable. About 46^C tops under load.

yes. at a certain point you WILL need a higher core voltage to run stable.

at 1200 i can run mine at 1.7 or 1.75 or 1.80
this is independent of the fsb as i can run either 9x133, 8.5x141 or 8x150.
Note: when i set the core voltage the voltage i actually get is 0.05V higher

at my standard overclock of 1350 @ 150fsb i HAVE to run with
a core voltage of 1.85V. this gives me just one more available voltage setting above of 1.85set(1.90V)
i think this voltage level leads to instability as ive only got a 300W psu. takes too much power.
at around 1375 is the limit for 1.85V.

so long as your powersupply can handle such a high voltage, and your cooling system can handle the heat output you can run at 1.9V.
i have heard of someone actually running at 2.1V!!!
bear in mind though that this will reduce the life of your processor considerably.
also, each processor has a 'golden limit'. a speed you cant exceed nomatter what you do. for the p3 that was around 1050 to 1100.
for my athlon i believe its somewhere between 1450-1500.
but like i said, need a better PSU to find it

cheers.
P.S.
higher FSB is more preferable than pure Mhz in my opinion.
thus the reason why i went for PC150 ram & a 150mhz fsb.
1350 @ 150 easily outclasses a athlon 1333 and probably is on average about the level of a 1400.

*nods* its a balance of many things
multipliers, fsb's, ram, voltages, available power, heat output and cpu batch.
