Use printer offline

I trying to use an older printer, Brother HL 1430, with Windows 7. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn´t. It would suddenly show USE PRINTER OFFLINE without that I have ever changed any of the settings. It would also in the Printer menu show the Printer Icon as light grey, as if it were offline, even though it is turned on and connected. When plugging USB cable in it would also wevery time reinstall the Software, even though it is already on my PC. A waste of time, really...

More about printer offline
  1. It may be using an incompatible or corrupt driver.
The Windows 7 driver for the HL-1430 is available only from Microsoft via Windows Update.

With your printer connected and turned on, connect to Windows Update:

    Control Panel > Windows Update
