Dell inspiron 6000 issues...

Hi all ,

My Dell laptop is having all sorts of issues. The most dire appears to to be the "Stop c0000218 {Registry File Failure} The Registry Cannot Load Hive (File): \SystemRoot\System32\Config\DEFAULT" message I get whenever I try to boot up. I've gone through fixes I found online but nothing appears to be working.

What are my options here? Can I repair it or should I just hold a funeral service for it and move on?

Your best option is to take out the harddisk, plug it into another computer to back up your personal file. Format the drive and reinstall os.
