Dell Studio 1555 laptop

Hello,
I shut down my computer and now it won't start up. The on button is lit, but nothing happens. Tried to find reset and pushed into the only hole without a screw in the bottom. Still nothing. I need help fast!

unplug from the ac remove the battery press start then put back battery and ac try to restart .

press power button DOWN for 10 seconds...

Holding the power button down for about 30 seconds worked like a charm.....twice. Been good ever since! Thanks a million.
