Have 2 machines. One running XP and one '98.

Just Setup home networking using the XP wizard in control
panel and assign the same workgroup name on both machines.
On the XP machine however, when I open up 'My Network
Places', I see no worgroups being listed.

If I click on' View workgroup computers', the XP machine
responds with:

"<workgroup_name> is not accessible. You might not have
permission to use this netwrok resource. Contact the
administrator of this server to find out if you have access
permission....The list of servers for this workgroup is not
currently available"

Hoever, on the '98 machine, I see the work group as well as
the computers belonging to the workgroup.

Are there any other settings/permissions needed on teh XP
machine to make it work?

What is missing?

THanks for your help

You should post your information to the general home networking newsgroup:
microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web . This newsgroup supports
Microsoft's Broadband Networking hardware and software, not home networking
in general.
