1.5 TB Low-Power HDDs: Green Gets Big

The latest 2 TB hard drives are still expensive, but 1.5 TB disks provide low power consumption at a better cost-to-capacity ratio. We look at offerings from Samsung and Western Digital to determine the value of taking a step down from the flagships. Read more

Hello. Trying to fix some Palm-based devices, help appreciated. I
have five Symbol SPT1500-ZRG40400E handheld barcode scanners based on
the Palm III. They all crash and yield this error message:

MemoryMgrNew.c,
Line:3970, Invalid handle

This happens after I hotsynch the data from my long-dead Palm III

Wanna scan! So I would like to know:

Is it too much data?

Is this a memory management problem caused by the last user's
modifications?

And the fun part, as I might like to learn to write programs for these
things:

What are the best and cheapest tools for:

Reburning the ROMs on these devices

Writing applications for older Palm devices

Thanks for any help.

By the way, the Symbol SPT1500-ZRG40400E was superseded by the SPT1550,
which has more memory and newer ROMs. Developer sites suggest not
buying an SPT1500, but recommend the SPT1550.
