Just purchased a scanner and want to scan documents containing confidential information (e.g., account numbes, SSNs), but I do not want that information to be on the saved file. I tried blacking it out with a Sharpie, but the quality of the sanner is high enough that you can still read the numbers. I tried cutting out the sensitive information before scanning, but many sheets then do not feed properly (and it is time consuming). Is there any software fix for this? The scanned images are in a searchable pdf file. Thanks.

Thanks a lot for your solution. I too were facing the same problem while document scanning and was looking for a solution. Wite out is the simplest possible way. Thanks again :) :) :)

You can use Acrobat XI Pro to do this.It will quickly remove sensitive data. When adobe reviews your document it will present you with a document what is scanned. Then you can easily remove your sensitive data.
Thanks

The redaction tools in Adobe Acrobat Pro are pretty powerful. They're what lawyers use to get rid of confidential info.
