Unable to generate window filled with the QB64 system:
1) I Download ‘qb64.zip’ file on Desktop
2) Double-click on the file to unzip ‘qb64.zip’ file. Otherwise, right-click on the ‘qb64.zip’ file name and select ‘Extract All…”
3) Press Start+R simultaneously. The Start button is adjacent to the Alt button on the keyboard.
4) In the Run dialog box, I type cmd and click on OK.
5)Changing the directory to the root directory of c: i type cd command followed by a back lash (\).now in the c:\ root directory.
6) To change the directory where the 'qb64' folder is saved by using the 'cd qb64' command
7) At this point I should be in the 'c\qb64' directory.
8) I the Dos command prompt window, I type qb64.
c/:\Users\stephen>cd\
c\:>cd qb64
c:\qb46>qb64
when I press ‘enter’ the result is showing error message.

Don't try doing it in the command prompt inside Windows as it's simply a shell prompt.

Try doing it within DOSBox, found HERE , and see if it helps at all.
