I just recently built a new computer (that's pretty epic, not to toot my own horn), and I decided that I should probably look into updated this 6 year old monitor. So here's some info you might want:
Use: Gaming. World of Warcraft, Assassin's Creed 3, Black Ops 2, etc.
Distance: I sit between 2 and 5 feet away from the monitor (depending on whether or not I'm sitting up and such)
Graphics Card: MSI TF OC'ed GTX 660 (currently runs at 1080 x 1024 at an average of 160 FPS, so should have no problem with a larger monitor).
Budget : Between $75 and $200. If it's more than $120, I can't afford it now, but like I said, I'm researching.
By the way, I do plan to use both of these monitors together. One would be playing the game, and the other would have stuff like the internet and vent and whatnot.
Finally, my current monitor is a 1080 x 1024 6-year-old Dell 19'' Square monitor, and I've become very used to it.
Basically, I'm looking for a recomendation to a monitor, the size, and some other stuff. My graphics card is compatible with 3D, but I don't need a monitor that supports it (unless it's not that much more expensive) since I don't want to buy the glasses
